Beauty regimens are such a pain in my ass. My skin is finicky and my hair is unruly. While my mother always told me I was beautiful, in all her bias, I struggled to maintain and or work at what was considered “beautiful.” Now that I am older I am appreciating being more natural in my beauty regimen, less is more. I am doing my hair less and going bare faced more, something I thought I would never do with my look or routine. Especially since I have unruly hair, but I found using the Luxe Organix hydrating styling cream to be an awesome addition to my beauty arsenal.
I love products that are non-toxic, from small companies, and really work for my individual situation. My skin and hair are ultra sensitive to harsh products. After years of taking a beating they deserve some TLC into my older years. So that is exactly what I have been giving my tresses. I was asked to try out and share about the Luxe Organix hydrating styling cream. Just this past December and January we shared the awesomeness of their conditioning wash and the wonders of only washing your hair once a week, so only natural to try out another product in their arsenal of paraben, sulfate, gluten, and phosphate free line of hair care.
At first try I was truly concerned. I saw that the styling cream boasted of Moroccan argan oil and I am a HUGE fan of argan oil for my hair. Yet when I applied to my dry mane the product seemed to dry it out more. Yes, I am not one to read directions and follow directions. So I went about trying after my shower on my towel dried hair. The smell and application are heavenly and feels wonderful, but the styling this second go around was less than desirable as well. My hair was full of body, bounce and shine, but I felt as if it had constant tangles. Ugh! I applied my dry oil to my hair and this seemed to help smooth and calm the bouffant.
Not wanting to give up on this product, I gave her a third go around. This time I applied to my wet hair, not damp, not towel dry, my just out of the shower, hand wrung, wet hair. BRAVO! The wet application did the trick as I was drying my hair with my round brush, my hair was just smooth as corn silk, manageable, and held the style, curl, and had tons of body and bounce.

Don’t take my word for it, just look at how my hair was with the initial use and then at my third go around. My curls were all over the place, frizzy and then they were smoothed, manageable and touchable.
