Harry Connick, Jr. Your Songs; Review and Giveaway

It’s Friday night, you and your hubs are planning a great evening out! You have a babysitter lined up, the kids are primed, you take your time applying your makeup and getting ready when the worst happens.
 
The babysitter cancels.
 
What is a dressed up girl to do? Well why ruin a perfectly good date night!
If you can’t take yourself out on a date with your husband let the date come to you!
 
My DH and I love to have a date night in when we can. Maybe grill some steaks, bust out the wine and best of all, the MUSIC!! To me, I think that music can transcend moments in time and set the mood, especially on a date.
 
Now the music can vary depending on the evening but I will tell you that the best date night and mood music is bar none Harry Connick Jr. His voice to me is like a lullaby, soothing, romantic, and just has a way to put you at ease and get you moving all at the same time. He has that make you melt like butter voice. So you can imagine how awesome his new CD “Your Songs” is to listen to on a date or even an evening where you want to relax, unwind, and enjoy since he sings some fabulous classics.
 
The folks of the One2OneNetwork are helping to promote the new album and I was lucky to get a copy before the release date of September 22nd and I love it! Not only for a date night but also because after a long day with the kids, listening to an absolutely beautiful man singing in my ear is heavenly.
 
Some of the classics Harry Connick Jr. performs are “Just The Way You Are” by Billy Joel, “First Time I Ever Saw Your Face” by Roberta Flack, and “All the Way” by the extraordinary Frank Sinatra. These classics coupled with Harry’s style and grace, a full jazz big band and string orchestra put you in such a wonderful mood and some of them make you want to get and dance!

Orgasmic Review: Eden Fantasy’s Giveaway

Sex is such a great topic. Very open in my household, though we limit specifics for obvious reasons. I don’t need my six year old running off to school talking about quickies and Nooners. So if you are prudish, squeamish, or sex is taboo…..DO NOT READ THIS. Or do but don’t hate on me.

So when Nicole and Drew from Eden Fantasy’s contacted me about the fun stuff they offer surrounding sex and doing a review, I jumped them faster than my husband on a horny night! Now Eden Fantasy’s is terrific because they are not a “perv shop” like some people may think. Eden Fantasy’s is a great, upscale, adult, online retailer that sells more than just sex toys. My choice was tough, really, to kick up my spice level with the hubs. He travels a lot so we don’t get to “date” as much as we used to and babysitters….well few and far between. I solicited his opinion to help in my quest for upping the boudoir action….BOY did I open a can of worms. You thought I was herny….I was getting Google messages like no tomorrow to check out links. He was like a panting dog in summer and I loved it, we had fun just shopping!
Finally we decided on a great new toy…a vibrator to be exact. But not just any old vibrator.

I have to tell you that I was at first intimidated by the “gadget.” And by gadget I mean the Double Clicking your Mouse…gadget. I was like…hmm….could be interesting…never tried it….what the hell! Made of soft jelly, not the typical hard silicone the toy is pliable and skin-friendly. We were just burning to get the package in….checking the mail all week.

The timing couldn’t be better. We pawned Big G off to the neighbors to play. The twins….down for a good two to three hour nap. The house was ALL OURS!! We giggled and flirted like teenagers giddy to makeout when Mom and Dad are gone, opened the box, washed and readied our new toy, and skipped to the bedroom for some play time. We were all geared up, sweat was already starting to bead from us and we were still dressed! Hubs grabbed our pink foreplay friend, fired her up…..and….she was a one shotter. That’s right. We didn’t even get to play with her and she came and went before we did. Way to go hubs!
LAME.

PINGO Giveaway

With the fall school season right around the corner moms and dads will be sending kids back to school. For the poor college student calling home is a necessity, especially if they are not attending school in the same city, which would require a toll call or if they are not wireless yet. Or for folks like DH and I who are looking to backpack across Europe in the future and if our phones are not international calling will also be a pain. UPrinting Sticker Giveaway

Chex Mix Bars Giveaway & Review

Okay, you have seen how I am a professed food junkie. I love food. I love to cook food, eat food, hate food. You saw my post on snacks, everyday you need a snack. Some days though, you want something deep fat fried and smothered in chocolate. You know you do! You, just like me want that sweet, salty, tang, ooey, gooey, crunchy goodness.

Well by golly General Mills made a snack especially for people like me, who want something deep fat fried and smothered in chocolate but you do not want all the guilt, I mean calories associated with a snack that is perfectly delicious.

Here is some great info about Chex Mix and Chex Mix Bars:

Low in fat and cholesterol free, moms love Rice Chex and Corn Chex cereal because they are low in sugar. For more than 60 years, Chex has offered calcium, vitamins and an enjoyable crunch.

Each bar is less than 200 calories and less than 4 grams of fat per serving! (Talk about guiltless snacking right?) Chex Mix Bars come in two flavors Turtle and Chocolate Chunk.

This delicious snack combines crunchy Chex pieces, pretzels and peanuts with chewy and indulgent ingredients like caramel and chocolate. And if that“s not enough, they have less than 150 calories per bar and provide at least 8 grams of whole grain per serving (48 grams recommended daily)! Now our house was able to test (HA! You mean demolish) two boxes of Chex Mix Bars in Turtle. The ladies and gents over at My Blog Spark must have known that I absolutely LOVE anything with caramel and chocolate. Seriously, my favorite ice cream (next to Mint Chocolate chip) is Baskin Robbins Gold Medal Ribbon, which is vanilla with chocolate and caramel. YUM.

So seriously we receive the boxes like a few days after we demolish the Nature Valley Nut Clusters. Yeah, like I said, we are addicts. But we receive the boxes and that day and for some reason or another I am annoyed about something. I am driving my mad blond self around the house directionally cleaning. So I am like a street sweeper right, picking up stuff that will only get tossed around again by the gnomes. Pointless. But nonetheless cleaning. DH is snacking on one of these bars. The annoyed level goes to an all time as he is smacking on those things, just oozing how fabulous they are. Right, I pass on trying one. STUBBORN! ASS! I should have ripped it out of his hot little hands and munched on it!

Chex Mix Bars Turtle are my slice of heaven. I for one am not a fan of bars of anything. I rarely eat granola bars again for the mess, or candy bars for the guilt. Again, H-E-A-V-E-N!! So here is the skinny:

Me: They are crunchy without being too crunchy and not too squishy or sticky like some candy bars are and not too crunchy like granola where you have crumbs everywhere making you look like that Rock eating monster from The Neverending Story. (You know which one right?) I feel satisfied without feeling guilty or like I need to spend an extra hour RUNNING my tail down to work off those extra chocolate calories. Plus, LOW IN FAT! They have a few grams of protein, not a massive amount of sugar, and fiber. We all need fiber.

DH: “OMG have you tried these? Seriously take a bite? THOSE ARE FREAKING SO DAMN GOOD! They have to be illegal. Do they have them in the store, can you go buy some more?”

Yeah he is super easy. I think he said the same thing about the nuts too. Anyway, I love them, Big G loves them the Squids even had some nibbles and walked off lip smacking too which is a sign that The Fish family enjoyed the Chex Mix Bars.
